How much hammering did you have to do the valve covers? Did you have to remove all of the baffling inside? I'll have a set of 1.7 tfs rockers, and I would really like to make the stockers clear. I don't really have time to get other covers If i don't have to :D Thanks, Will

If your still have problems you can try hammering out the middle of the valve covers where it folds in. I think I will beable to use the stockers on my 418 with 1.6 tfs rr and a .600 lift cam. I'm not 100% sure becuase I dont have the engine togetor I just installed the rockers on the heads and played with them. You can also try using the super thick cork vc gaskets for more room. Just make sure the rockers wrnt going to hit the covers before you run your car.

There is a good bit more room in the Fox vc's but they still have a pretty low profile. I used them with my stud Scorpions which are really a big rocker.

I had to remove a small amount of material and some of the oil splash thing. If your rr's are smaller you may not have to do anything.

The oil fill tube is somewhat farther back toward the rear of the cover ...... about an 1.0 to 1.5 inches if I remember correctly.

This was with AFR's so things might be a little diff with your TW's.

I needed no intake spacer btw.

There has been so many Fox vc threads I bet you could find one with your heads and rr's.

Thanks for all the replies on this. I'll hammer on the old ones, and hopefully I can get them to fit. The TFS rockers are pretty big, but not too bad. If I have to I'll try some of the thick v/c gaskets you guy's were talking about. Hopefully I can get this done by friday so i can get to the track. Have a good weekend. See ya, Will
