I will take measures to prevent my car from being stolen again. I am thinking of hardwiring a custom system along with a standard alarm. much like the phone pad deal, except that you wont even be able to pop the trunk or unlock the doors. I'm soo glad I got it back. but now I'm scared it will happen again. but it won't, I have two detectives on my case and, on the day of the theft, Bellevue appointed 3 full time prosecuting attorneys to sentence thieves within 72 hours of being arrested, so they get busted and charged all in one nice little packet. there are other things being done to make sentences harsher, but that has to go through legislation. What makes me glad is that the state of washington understands this is an issue and we can't necessarily wait for initiatives to pass. so they are doing things like having the extra lawyers and paying more attention to car theft, possibly having sentences closer to the maximum, like if max is one year for first offence, then 9 mo. I think I'm gonna go sign petitions, and attend public meetings. I want to get involved in making washington auto owners sleep easier.

When we hook up the switch to kill the coil, lets hook up a flame thrower, cuz we're half way there. 
That'd be badass on your car lol. I made one for my friends dakota.... flames shot out about 3 feet lol. You'd turn the spark on, then rev it up and flick the ignition off and stomp the gas to the floor lol it was bad ass.

I've been looking at getting an alarm installed on my car since all that vandalisim crap happened but I cant find anyone that will install my Clifford Ace 100 for less than $250 
If you want to take Turbo92PGT up on his offer I'll separate with it for very cheap. At any rate you should get something on it. I found (with my last car) that the alarm LED's were probably the main reason people never F'ed with my car. Showed there were much easier targets around than my car. Again, congrats on getting your car back, hope there wasent too much damage. Let us know if you find out who it was...

From my past experiences, Alarms are a total waste of time. For one, most are disabled just by unplugging them. The starter kill only works if the relay is powered, and when its unplugged of course it isnt. I have seen some VERY elaborate attempts at "tricking" the thief, but in the end, all they need to do is jump the starter relay and it fires up. I like to think of an alarm as a remote door lock opener. Thats about all they are worth. On the other hand, if you have a silent alarm that pages you, without any sirens to "scare them off" the alarm may go unnoticed and you may have time to get to them and crack some skulls. This is also where a fuel pump kill would be a good idea. Then it would start and die, and they would be scratching their head as to why.

I'm happy for ya, Blur. Keep us posted on the condition. The police don't recover too many, so you're lucky. I think those chips that allow the car to be tracked are getting cheaper and mor practical. Those are the real answer to stolen cars.

the lowjack chips are pretty spenddy we sell them through my work i think there like $700 but to me its well worth it.but in the mean time i already put a fuel cut off in my car and i have a cut off on my ign thats harder to figure out and the wire isnt accessable in a quick amount of time they would have to dissasemble half the car.
$700 ? not bad seeing how they can track your car down? right? think about it some people spend $700+ for an alarm but they dont get the car back usually and if they do it parts and peices, plus why skimp out if it's your pride and joy, or even at that the car say was around $10,000 and $700 to almost garentee to get it back??????? not bad! peaceredrumracing01 said:
