So, tonight i was driving minding my business. I come up to a red light than sit and waited till it turns green. Turns green- So, im climbing the rpm's in my nonpi with my exhaust blarring (dumps owns) and all of sudden some red 99-04 comes and flys past me. I tried my best to catch up (not racing) and i quickly realized i couldn't catch a more than likely stockish pi gt. So, stop picking on the little nonpi brother

Awwwww. You looked good (not) doing it though, I'm sure. So come on, pick up a set of (used) PI cams and Intake and for only a little money and time you could be halfway respectable. That is if your gears are at least of a 99+ variety with the optional 3.27s, well even if there not.

There's a guy around here that I always pick on in a 98 GT. I've beaten him in all 3 of my cars. He's cool about it though. It's really a good looking car, black, lowered, smoked lights, billet grille. He's getting ready to put PI heads/intake on his shortblock, maybe I shouldn't pick on him anymore.

I wish more Mustangs would try to pick on my Cougar like that. It's been a while since I've seen a Mustanger mouth the words "What the F***" while disappearing in my rear view mirror.

Ahh well, I guess I’ll have to settle for the track next weekend.

96-98 SN95 GT's are nice & I love the way they look, but when I had mine I got picked on all the time & mine was a automatic. I almost lost to everycar i ever raced except a 99-04 V6 stang. I lost to a newer 3.5 Maxima, a Lincoln Ls V8, honda CRX, & an 05 V6 stang came pretty close on the freeway. It was pretty embarrasing to say the least. I had to step up my game after that...

I like when 99-04 lightly modded GT's pick on me, its a good race and we end up chatting for awhile. A blow by like that shows no respect tho

I'll have to try that too.

My wife's car is a Mazda 3s 2.3 5 speed (sedan version). Maybe I'll go hunting for some.

The new mazda 3s( I think it was the 3 I seen), those look pretty sharp. I would get one if I had the chance.

They drive insanely smooth, too. My friend has a mazda 3 w/ a five speed- it practically drives itself. A person that has no idea how to drive a 5 speed could get in it and drive away!

But back to the matter at hand- There is only one solution: PI SWAP

My buddy has one with some mods. basically catback, xpipe, intake and chip. went from a roll one time lol i waited till he got on it then i find out he was in it the whole time with me pacing behind him in second then once his exhaust got louder i hit it and zipped by lol. when we stopped to eat lunch is when he told me he was in it the whole time with me pacing him.

My 3 with the 2.3 is probably the best new car I've ever bought for the price, after 50K, no problems other than I had to put new tires on it (goodyear blowout) and regular oil changes which requires you to by the special tool from Mazda. It's amazing what you can fit in the 5 door to haul, it's speedy when you want it to be, and it's a really nice driving car (corners awesome). My only complaints are the front clip is flimsy, I cracked it right below the honeycomb touching a curb, and the seats are uncomfortable for 3+ hours of driving.
