figured i'd give an update on the old 94.

my brother bought edelbrock RPM 2 performer heads, e303 cam, maximum motorsports subframe connectors, high flow fuel pump, bbk long tube headers, polyurethane motor mounts, new tranny mount, and a few other things but its late and i can't think right now hahah.

we're going to send the bottom end out to be rebuilt, get forged internals, and then order the 42 lb injectors and MAF, and tax time comes hes throwing the supercharger on when he can buy the rest of the parts he needs for it.

i've also bought quite a few things for my car as you can tell by the sig. hah.

i miss certain things about the 94-95 style. like the options for what you can do for appearance. there's really not much out there right now for 2005- up, and the things that are, i don't really think look that good. i miss the wheels. they make dd bullitts for my car, but the fronts are DD too, and i think that looks horrible. its not a european car. haha.

i miss how the tail pipes looked, i'm not really fond of the muffler being right there in direct sight.

i miss how much cheaper the parts were.

i definitely enjoy the cars pulling power though. i pulled a 13.5 out of it, and i think with more seat time and a aluminum 1 piece driveshaft, and a set of drag wheels, i am hoping to see low 13s to high 12s.

yeah, my brother has a 75 porsche 911. he blew that up beating on it. and its expensive to fix. i sold the car to my brother, and hes building that up for his fun car. and then we're going to rebuild the porsche, but have it just as a cruiser, not really modify it, upgrade where recommended.

he figures he breaks something in the 302, parts everywhere, and they are cheap. he blows up another porsche motor, parts are hard to find, and expensive when are found.

little update on my brothers project. or should i say big update.

DSS pro bullet 306 with low compression dish pistons.

ordering monday.

ordered a new supercharger, my dad doesn't know what trim it is, but its supposed to be around 7 pounds of boost i think. complete kit. then we're going to rebuild the other one, and if he wants to use it, just toss it right in.

now good for me - old 302 block of his, not sure what to do with it. we talked, and we're going to throw it in our drag car, or just keep around for something.

i'm thinking we're still going to go with a 460 BBF in the drag car, so we'll have an extra 302 around.
i'm thinking of saving some cash instead of modifying my car, and building a

nissan or datsun 240z
old pop up headlight supra
older eclipse
volvo wagon
or a ranger or something similar. i want to throw it in something that shouldn't have a v8 in it. a car that you normally see old people sleeping at the wheel in.

went to the track today with my car. was too late and racing was done for the day. i guess because it wasn't looking too hot out. but i can't blow up a car that i'm making payments on, hah.

trust me on this and get the tuner first bro. There are some sick deals to be had on them right now. I just picked up a practically new Predator with the A/C adapter and the PC cables for $150. The difference the 93 octane tune makes is amazing. It's literally like driving a new car Much more torque and the top end pull is almost scary! I bet you could shave a good .3-.5 off your ET with just a good tune

i would, but i'll have the money for the wheels on december 26th. at that point, the tracks around here will be closed for winter, and after starting to go to the track, i'm not really one to mess around on the street. but before march 1st when they open back up i'll have a set of sticky tires, a SCT tuner, maybe dynotuned, depending on how much it costs my brother to get his car tuned i may do mine same day. and a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft.

if i gained that much it would be amazing, but i don't think i will because theres already an aftermarket tune on the car, just its the ford racing one, so i know its nothing too wonderful. we shall see.

check out Doug at Bamachips when you do pick up a tuner.........he's the man with S197's and a very nice guy to boot. I think the difference between his tune and Fords' would be worth a look

yeah, i was thinking i was going to go with bamachips. it was either that, or brenspeed, or tillman, but if i went with tillman i would most likely go there and get it done while dynoed. since they are pretty close to the border.

I think you'll be good to go with any of those tunes, they are all top notch. I just remember reading an article in MM&FF in regards to testing Fords new Drag Pack, which included their version of a tuner. I have to dig it up for ya. But I do remember them being a bit surprised as Fords tune did little to help anything as it was quite rich on the AFR.

I agree with the dd bullitt rims up front...just doesn't look right. but looks great from the side IMO. As far as the mufflers there's always pypes mid muffler with some tweeking course

love it.

was never really huge on short throw shifters. but going from my 94 to this shifter, its so much tighter. stock shifters feel sloppy to me.

everyone describes the hurst as notchy. i'd say its more precised. you just point it in the direction, and it goes to that gear. throws are really short.

i would bet the ford racing tune sucks. haha would definitely like to throw a SCT at it. i really think i have alot more ET out of my car with simple things like a tune & tires.

and notquik, you definitely have the ultimate stock wheels on your car. if my car had came with those, i would not think of getting new rims for a while. I have thought about buying a set of those from like newtakeoffs.com or something similar, but I think i'm just gunna go with something you don't see often on these cars.
