Stranded 4 hours from home with broken clutch cable

I'm in russellville arkansas and need to overnight a clutch cable. Anyone know where the closest place would be to overnight from. Thanks

It is possible to drive without a clutch cable. Clicky here, alhtough some practice before losing your clutch cable would have helped.

umm the dealer in searcy might have it, the dealer in LR, Conway, cabot, i dunno....call around...no where on sunday though. maybe a prts store

I've actually done that before. It could be done but you are right, some practice would have helped

This works IF you can get the car into first from a dead stop, which isn't likely. It is easy to do once it is rolling.

You could try pushing it to an area that has a nice downwards hill. Stopping it with the car OFF....put it in 4th and start the car up. It may be tough on the starter, but if its a nice hill you should be ok....and assuming there arent any traffic lights....

My clutch cable came off about 2 minutes from my house....put it in 2nd with the car off and craked her up. Starter pulled the car just fine and I drove the car @ 3K to the house.
