I am not going to conjecture what might be wrong . . just give you a couple of simple tests that will help pinpoint likely causes or eliminate others.
While stopped, if you rev the engine to 1500 RPM in Neutral, do you feel any change in the temperature of the air blowing from the dash vents?
If you coast down a long hill with the engine idling in Neutral, does the A/C begin to blow warmer air just as if you had stopped?

freon does just leak, nothing is completely air tight, and yes every radiator leaks, its called, whats that word, EVAPORATION. Darn Mr.Tech, thought you knew. EVERY THING LEAKS, no matter the appliation, sorry didn't know I had to get technical, on molecules, I can go there if you want
