Yesterday i torqued my thumpers down on my engine.
haynes called for 55-65 on step 1 and then 65-72 lbs on step 2

so i got them all hand tight, then hit them all with 65 and then set the wrench to 72 and then when went back to tighten them the last 7 ft/lbs it barely moved some didnt move at all. it would just click like it was already at that torque.

does this seem right???

they seem pretty tight....

also, what size bolt do i need to plug the EGR holes on the back of the heads?

Yes,

That seems right to me. It doesn't take much to get that last little bit of torque on them.

Not sure on the plug size for the crossover tube though.

I pluged mine off with the egr tube and just cut the tube off and welded that hole closed. Let us all kno how them thumpers are. I have been thinking of getting some myself

Ya i will let u guys know how they are. The portwork is excellent and i got a lower ported by Tmoss, Which also looks excellent. I will pick up a whole lot, i can tell just by looking at the parts.

Cant wait, i am going to start the teardown tomorrow or the next day.
