Strange Issue- ABS light comes on randomly

Well hello.

So I have an 04 GT.
Recently, when I've been driving it, the ABS light will come on, and stay on for seconds/min/hours, then go off. Sometimes the traction control light will come on with the ABS light, however traction control light does NOT come on without the ABS light.
I scanned the car for codes and nothing comes up.

Any ideas?
I'm thinking I might have an ABS module in my future, but I would think it would throw a code for that. Maybe I'm wrong.

I wouldn't go after the ABS module/pump first.

I just had this issue with my friends 2006 Explorer. Trac and ABS light came on randomly, then shut off etc....

I pulled all four wheels and tires and inspected the ABS rings. I spun each tire to make sure that they were all in good condition. It turned out that the left rear ABS ring (which is around the axle shaft just like a Mustang) had a crack in it and when the wheel went round and round, the ABS ring was not perfectly lined up with the sensor, it was crooked. Unfortunately for the Explorer you can't buy just the ring, we had to buy a whole axle with the ring. Once I installed that, the problem was instantly fixed.

Since you have a similar problem, I'd simply inspect all of the rings first.

Usually when this happens with our cars is that there is an issue with one of the sensors being broken or dirty.

I had an issue with the car wanting to stall when the traction control was engaged, the abs light would come on intermittenly, but this was because of a poor battery connection with the terminal, replaced the terminals and the battery and I was fine.
