Wondering what are some of the best mods for a street car? I am looking for the basics, handling, power, traction. I don't usually see the track so that is why I am am leaning towards the street application. Money is of some issue, but then again, anything can be done for some amount of money :nice: so bring on the ideas! Thanks in advance :D

For helpful advice you will need to let us know what your goals are. Street car is anything from 600rwhp to 250rwhp on this site. Need some idea of what you want for power or track times. Personally, I will be shooting for about 350-390rwhp with a few nice suspension mods and some slicks for the track, but thats me :nice: Check out the Sticky thread called Modification thread or whatever, has TONS of street setups with any power level you coudl want

if you want a street setup for handling i suggest a panhard bar, subframes, strut tower brace, and s/s + springs of your choice.

for powertrain 4:10's and port that plenum for starters

for traction LCA's and some DOT legal slicks

Well, depending on how hardcore you want to go with suspension, you said street car, so I dont know if you'll need a 350 dollar panhard bar for the street. Maybe a good setup for you would be some Ford C springs, Ford Mach 1 shocks and struts, and some Subframe connectors along with lower control arms. That would be a great handling car for the street. For performance, you basically have it covered with the gears, longtubes, and midpipe, but the throttle body and a new plenum will also give some small gains. Also raising the timing with either a timing adjuster or a chip will do wonders for the car. You sound like you have a good base plan so far, just need to carry it out. Good luck, oh and some drag radials to help it hook up as well.
