Strength of Crank bolt

Just bought a 95 with a 5.0 that's possibly froze up. I've pulled the plugs and squirted 3in1 oil into cylinders, along with pulling the belt off pulleys.
Got on it with a breaker bar but started to get nervous. How much will it take before I incur a bigger headache?

If the motor won’t roll over with the wrench trying to take the bolt out I wouldn’t do it trying to tighten the bolt. If it had an ARP bolt in there then I’d be worried about taking the threads out on the crank.

I agree with Aero here... The idea with trying to free up an engine is not to break something that is really stuck..... Sounds like you need to take off the intake and heads and see what it looks like

I mean, what do you have to lose at this point? It will definitely take more than anyone less than Arnold in his prime can give it with a standard breaker bar.

Take a page out of the VGG book and fill the cylinders with mystery oil or ATF and let it sit for a bit. If you break it free you want to get a full rotation out of it. Then Crank it, do not start it, and shoot the rest of the oil out if it. Gonna look like a murder scene, but if it gets ya unstuck, it's worth the charge. After you've made a mess and gotten a felony, change oil and move on. Hopefully that'll geterdone. If not, you probably have something bent or broken. Hopefully thats not the case. Good luck.

You risk damaging the threads on the crank if you try to tighten. Easier to just take it apart and see whats stuck. That way you wont damage the rods, crank and bearing areas. Dont ask why I know this.....

I agree with the prior posts also. My proposal was more on the thought the motor has been sitting and possibly took on some water and seized.
