Stress Fractures In Flywheel. Worth Resurfacing?

I have two oem flywheels, one has a lot of stress crack, one has a few stress cracks.

Can they be machined off or is it not safe to run it even if resurfaced?

The cost of a resurface vs the price of a new unit, I usually just get a new one.

If they are stress cracks, how many RPM do you want to be turning when they crack through and blow chunks? Old GM cracked flywheels and the resulting damage to lower extremities are the reason SFI bell housings exist.

I say a new flywheel is cheaper than foot surgery. At least magna flux them to see if they are surface or deeper before using either.

just get a new SFI approved flywheel and bellhousing. Your legs will thank you.
