Well today my car decided to pretty much die on me and my dad. kinda felt like it was running out of gas but i had a 1/4 tank. It didnt want to accelerate at all. after i finally got it home... mind u it dies as soon as i turned into my cultisac (sp?) i let it sit for about 30-45mins then drove it and it drove fine.. the only thing i could think of is that i ran the a/c today for my dad and i hardly ever run the A/C. so maybe it stressed it out my engine? or I DONT KNOW!! any suggestions as to what it might be?

when i started it like 2 mins after it wanted to die, it dropped to like 300, so i just turned it off.. but after i let it sit for about 45mins or so it ran like nothing was wrong with it..

and im just waiting to get emissions and registered for 2yrs :D then its going on.

I started it like 2 mins after and it started up for like 1 min then the rpms dropped to like 300 and i hit the gas all the way in and it went up to like 500-700? haha so i just turned it off, went inside, ate, then went back out and it started up and drove fine.

Start with the basics. Clean your MAF & IAT sensors, check your ECT sensor, check for spark on all 8 plug wires, remove all 8 plugs, and look for any oil or white markings on them. Check for stored CEL codes too

Check fuel pressure w/ and w/o vacuum, check your vacuum.

That should keep you busy for a while.

I had my air pump diconnected off of my factory H-pipe and my car did this exact same thing. I think your cats are not getting enough fresh air to work properl;y and loading up the cats creating a TON of backpressure.
