After I turn off the ignition to my car, 88 GT 5.0, there is a really strong gas odor coming from the engine bay. Is this something wrong with the fuel side, or will a really bad exhaust leak on the X pipe cause that smell to?
I beleive that if you have a really bad exhaust leak, you should fix it either way. Could be the culprit to the problem, but its an all around thing that should be fixed.
thanks, i will definetly check that. What about maybe plugged fuel injectors and possible backing up of fuel in the fuel rails? Is it possible, or am I just dumb?
