Strut Bushing Replacement Realignment Necessary?

I had mine done about 4 wks ago. They did not re-align the front and and it all seems fine. The popping is gone!

I have not heard this popping. Do you hear right away or did it start after so many miles? Was this on early models? Sorry just interested. Heard it spoke of before on here but didn't know what you guys were talking about.

i had mine done, they did no alignment, drives straight. i do however, have a squeek when going over slow speed bumps....but i have had a terrible time with my dealer. VERY POOR TECHNICIAN....

I had mine replaced on the V-6. No problem with alignment; however I get the same bed spring squeek that bigcat stated. :( It's tough to hear over the brake squeal though.. :D Ahhhh built Ford tough!

Still LOVE the 05 though!

91mini - "If it isn't broke, don't fix it"... :D You would know the sound if you heard it. Not all vehicles had it. It was an engineering issue with the front strut bushings. Refer to TSB stickie thread on the site here. I would think most Mfg. after May would be fine.

No alignment. And if it makes noise, FORD makes a rubber suspension isolator. Water proof, like thick KY, and is applied between the spring and the rubber isolator.

It works on belts too. Great stuff.

I too have an appt for brake squeal... And just 10 K miles. Damn...
