strut install? easy problem I think....

I installed my new front struts with CC plates......each strut came with one bolt.....I didnt really think about the install, seemed fairly simple, put the strut through the hole and bolt it down.

Now when the car sits on the ground, the strut sticks up out of the hole, because it seems as if I need another bolt threaded on the strut underneath the CC plate? or some type of bushing?

Can someone explain the correct parts/procedure to attach the front struts on the CC plate end?

What kind of struts? DId they come with instructions? I had to reuse the top half of my struts and assmble them with the bushings and cover for the strut.

Did you take apart the old strut?

Some of the plates have an assortment of spacers that you toss in there to set-up the height of the strut rod protrusion...............
