Strut Rattles, and also got a Squeaking Noise...

The strut on my drivers side rattles. Whenever I hit a bump or anything, I can hear it. It took me awhile to pinpoint it, but I'm pretty sure its the strut. Also, I have a squeaking noise when I am coasting/rolling. It goes away when I hit the brakes. The squeaking is also on the drivers side. It seems to be matched with the rolling of the wheel/tire. Could the bad strut cause a bad bearing which would cause the squeaking? WHy does the squeak cease when I brake?

My car just seems like it has fallen apart in less than 2 days!

I'm also having braking issues also, but thats a different matter.........

ha ha ha, welcome to my world.

suspension rattling and squeaking like no other and I need brakes really bad.

I would say its time for a new suspension and brakes. I know you can get a pretty descent front brake kit for $400.00. Suspension, I'd replace the springs, struts/shocks, lca/uca and new CC plates.

Good luck and you gotta remember our cars aren't exactly new rides anymore.

Do a search in the "reviews" section here on Stangnet on products your looking at. I listen on some off the feedback people leave, pretty good stuff.
