Is either of the cars you are talking about a convertible? I wonder if they put it in the convertibles to give them more stiffness but not in the hardtops because the hardtop adds stiffness?Makalani_96GT said:I don't think that it is stock on any 96gt I have one and my friend doesen't I think that it was a package option.....
Mine has one already ... I was just trying to find out if it was stock or not.WaltA said:I thought the STB was lost, along with a lot of other nice little things, as part of the massive "cost reduction" the Mustang underwent in either '96 or '97.
However, adding a STB is trivial to those Mustangs. They still have all the holes, and the holes were still all tapped. So, adding a STB is like a 15 minute, bolt on, job.

Embarassing, huh? LOL. I don't know, I didn't do a dyno stock. It has 80,000 miles, burns a quart every 1500 miles or so and could use a tune. I'm happy with it though because I got it for a good price and I can do alot with it.03Sleeper said:WOW I knew the Old Mustangs didn't have too much power but only 177RWHP!
what was it Bone stock?
I'm sure this is all old news but I'm interested in the Info.
