I don't think that it is stock on any 96gt I have one and my friend doesen't I think that it was a package option.....
Is either of the cars you are talking about a convertible? I wonder if they put it in the convertibles to give them more stiffness but not in the hardtops because the hardtop adds stiffness?

I thought the STB was lost, along with a lot of other nice little things, as part of the massive "cost reduction" the Mustang underwent in either '96 or '97.

However, adding a STB is trivial to those Mustangs. They still have all the holes, and the holes were still all tapped. So, adding a STB is like a 15 minute, bolt on, job.

Mine has one already ... I was just trying to find out if it was stock or not.

I had a 94 GT vert that had one. I am not sure if it was stock or not - I bought the car used. I had always wondered the same thing. I now have a 01 vert that does not have a stb.

WOW I knew the Old Mustangs didn't have too much power but only 177RWHP!
what was it Bone stock?
I'm sure this is all old news but I'm interested in the Info.
Thanks
Embarassing, huh? LOL. I don't know, I didn't do a dyno stock. It has 80,000 miles, burns a quart every 1500 miles or so and could use a tune. I'm happy with it though because I got it for a good price and I can do alot with it.

Try not to feel too sorry for me, I have a hot wife and my ride is getting sweeter and faster all the time! Headswap/cams/LTs next.
