well here it is a friend of mine has installed these nock off edelbrock heads on his 5.0 well we have bolted the rockers on and adjusted them to 0lash and 1/4 turn well the rockers keep acting like they are walking sideways on the valve tip any ideas ? Can this be because of a push rod issue or are these rockers just junk? they look like stock rockers just for studmounted heads.

Are you using guideplates on the pushrods?

My dads 396 that they just got finished building were having the same problems... He went to a racing fab shop that builds Le Mans cars, they said it happens all the time with aftermart stuff. He told him to cut a slice into the middle of the guide plate, bend it so the roller tip is directly on top of the valve and then weld it back up. He told us to use some special welding rod, bronze something not sure. but it worked fine and the rockers are stayin on top perfect now. Not sure if this will help or not, but my dad is running some knock off heads too, so it might help ya out....
