The belts in my 97 were slow to retract and a general pain the but and so are the ones in the 01 GT i just bought so it must be common thing. I wouldnt min being able to take the loops of so long as the belt were just as safe.

My passenger belt it completely jammed. I cant pull it out more than about a ft. Anyone know how to fix this? I was thinking I would probably have to remove the panel but not sure...

Just reach up inside the back of the set and there is a release for the headrest support. Release it and pull the headrest out, remove the seatbelt retainer and put the headrest back on.
