well i figured i would wash my car with the power washer yesterday (stupid idea) and as i was washing the hood i see little pieces of the black applique fly off the car. so the pressure washer ripped about 1/4 of it off into little pieces. what would you guys sugest i do? i was thinkin about having it painted black insted of just a vinly sticker but that would be expensive. does anoyne know where i can buy a replacement one?

They should have a handbook that comes with the Mustang when you buy it. It only contains 3 words: HAND WASH ONLY!!!!!!!!!!

Try www.graphic-express.com. They have replacement, ford-licensed ones. However, if you want OEM, I'm not sure...

Yeah, just about any body shop or you yourself could reapply a new one or something close. I would go OEM, for the correct texture and look.

Painting would be nice too though. BTW, no more power washing!

I thought it was common knowledge to never power wash a car. I always laugh when i see people holding the nozzles at the car was 1/2" away fron their paint. If you are gonna powerwash, at least stand back 3-4 feet.

I use a power washer at work on all the cars and never had a problem its just you need to watch it when u get close..Plus power washer helps when you have alot of bugs on the hood and bumper.
