How much did you pay to have subframe connectors welded in?

Looking to have full lengths installed but don't know what to pay to have them welded in place.

My little brother is a cert. welder...

I fit them up the way I wanted them and he welded them in for me...I told him "or else" like any good big brother would . Realy not that hard.

Also helped a buddy put his on a 00gt.

The trick is to get a small jack to hold them tight to the frame rails but not to lift up the car so the weight of the car is still on the chassis...also on a level floor. Then mark and clean off the paint/undercoat/primer/overspray and put them back on and weld then let cool. After it cool, wipe down and spary bomb or mask off and paint to keep it clean and as rust free as possible.

how much of a difference do sfc's really make, I saving up money to put towards a suspension and am unsure about where exactly to invest it. my main problem is breaking loose in first and not getting tracking back untill almost third gear. opinions?

Subframe connectors will feel like your suspension's been improved tenfold, at least I felt this way when mine were installed. I talked nicely to a guy at a local muffler shop and had them done in 2 hours for 60 bucks...

Yeah mine were expensive (~$200). 3 hours of work including grinding down the frame rails to get a good welding surface, welding the sub frames on, and then painting over.

mine were $125 because they had to do quite a bit of work to the frame rails to get it flush. they also painted them

Are there any particular brand SFCs that are easier or harder than normal to install? Or are they all about the same?
