I dont have one myself but i saw one the other day on a silver V6. It passed me going the opposite direction. I wouldnt do it, sports car, not luxury car. But thats just a personal opinion.

I don't think it'd look bad at all. But I hesitate to put a sunroof on a car that didn't have one. If you want to do it, I say go for it.

There are two different styles of power sunroofs that fit into the 05. Webasco makes one that opens out like a wing, or Inalpha makes one that is more of a normal looking sunroof.

I installed one of the Inalpha units in my Redfire GT. I like it. Works great, looks good.

If I had to complain it would be that the panel is a little bit flatter than the rest of the roof, so it flattens out the roofline on the sides of the sunroof, and then pinches the metal (very slightly) at each of the 4 corners. The interior looks great. It slides, pops up, closes when you turn of the key, etc.

We liked it enough to put one in my wifes Blue GT

if i were going to get one, i would want it to be the same color as the car, and not a moonroof so it would be less noticeable

Your car, and you should do what you like, but be aware, aftermarket sunroofs most often *decrease* your car's value, not increase it (as compared to a stock vehicle).

"That's one big, expensive hole in the roof..."

I have a moonroof on my '05 GT and am very pleased with it. It is by Classic Soft Trim. My dealer arranged for the install for me; when I went to pick up my beast, the moonroof was already installed and ready to go. It was $789 installed. The install was exceedingly high quality... prett much anyone who doesn't know too much about the 'Stang and what options come on it aren't aware that it's aftermarket!

I've attached a few pics for anyone wanting to see what it looks like...
