sunroof won't open?

ok, so i just bought my mustang like 6 months ago, and never even noticed to see if my sunroof worked. so I was doing a little armor-all on my dash, and cleaning it up, and I wanted to open the sunroof for the first time. I pull on the lever, and it won't open, then I try to tug a little harder trying not to break it, and still it doesn't open? Anybody ever had this problem before? or know what to do any ideas? Please help! I would appreciate it!

are you pushing upward?? You don't just pull the tab.
step by step instructions:
1. Pull tab down from roof
2. Push upward on tab
3. Glass should click, which is the locking mechanism
4. Enjoy the cool air

maybe its kinda rusted. mine used to open until one of the bolt thingys that hold the lever to the window mysteriously fell out one day while i was driving around and i cant get it back in.

oh yeah, if it doesnt leak...dont open it because it might start to leak

i open mine all the time.. it doesn't leak

If you clean out the drain holes, it won't leak.

Mine's out evert day it's not raining when it's warm

I have no probs with leake either....Anyways i dont see why it wouldnt open. Another cool thing i didnt know about until the painter showed me was that the whole glass can be removed from the car. Had he not showed me that i would prolly still not know that lol.
