any one have any of these exhaust setups on there car? If u do can you give me positives and negatives of each of them...and which one you would choose? I already know that the flows super 44's sound really good but there chambered and not stainless steel while the other ones are stainless and straight through mufflers so im wonderin if ill get a few more horses out of em...I mainly wanna know the difference between the SLP loudmouths and Magnaflow Magnapacks in sound because there so similar

Magnapacks FTW!! They're pretty uncommon in the 5.0 crowd, but they sound great! I'm puttin them on this summer with an o/r X to make it SCREAM!

Blowmasters, 40 or 44s drone like no other inside the cabin. I hate mine, that's why I'm getting Magnapacks.

SLPs and Magnapacks sound nothing alike. SLPs sound like s*@t, especially with an o/r H or X. They have no sound control at all...that's why they're called resonators. They just make the sound resonate, not control it.

Magnapacks are insanely loud too, but they have enough sound control built in that they are a good loud. SLPs are just noise basically.

that's going to be extremely loud w/ an O/R X pipe. When I had and O/R H and magnapacks I wouldn't even carry on a convo inside the car with someone w/ out yelling.

thanks for the advice guys! im really leaning towards magnapacks now cause it sounds like no one ever has any problems or complaints with them. and i know ive never heard them in person so i wouldnt know but im sure even if u had an o/r x or o/r h you could carry on a conversation in the car as long as you werent at high rpm's. if u kept it around 1500-2000 it cant be that bad. i just wish i could here this in person first!!!

Actually, the one car I rode in with Packs and an o/r X wasn't bad. Now, I could see it being bad with an o/r H.
Here's some of the vids I was looking at to make my decision. I just typed in Magnapack in youtube and listened to almost every one

YouTube - 1995 Ford Mustang GT with Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust

YouTube - Take off 1995 GT o/r X and Magnapacks

I believe this is Redline's car: YouTube - 94 Cobra Bassani X pipe w/ Cats, Magnapacks

YouTube - 95 Cobra with Mac shorties, UPR offroad X, and Magnapacks

YouTube - 2005 Mustang GT Kooks LT, Magnapacks Acceleration Exhaust

YouTube - Magnaflow Magnapacks

The first 4 are 5.0s. The last 2 are 4.6s, but they sound badass. You gotta watch the last one...it's nuts! Just keep in mine that some of the sounds are distorted. These actually do sound amazing in person.

ohhh yeah and i just realized...u were the same guy i was talking to about headlights. i want to get some new headlights pretty bad but u said the 1 piece projectors are a bad decision cause they dont fit good right? do you know anything about just the blacked out headlights u can get? go to americanmuscle.com and go to headlights and 94-98 headlights and look at the black ones that arnt projectors and are $150.00. i kinda want those...

I currently have Magnapacks and they are awesome sound. But i am changing my mufflers to Super 44.

I think super 44 sounds better for our cars how should be. I have H- Pipe also.

Magnapacks are good mufflers. I just got bored with it. plus i have turndowns so it sounds little different then tailpipe set up.

Yeah, definitely stay away from one peice projectors. Not only do they not fit worth crap, but they're horrible quality and they don't give out any light whatsoever...trust me, I thought they looked cool like you, but they're absolute crap.

Just keep in mind when you're buying lights that the SMOKED LENSES block some of the light. It's like window tint, so you're not gonna get as much light output. There's also some with UTLRA CLEAR LENSES and a BLACK HOUSING that give the same look, but put out more light. That's what I would try to get. They make some called "Black Beauty" that work pretty good I think. Just do a search for Black Beauty and you'll get some opinions that way.

Those from American Muscle look good. Dark lights on a yellow car look great. Keep in mind though that your'e not gonna have much light outta those either cuz they have a smoked lense instead of a clear one. You'll be find if you put in HIDs, but that's the only way you'll get any light.

Here's some that have a black housing, but a clear lens and refletor so you'll get the dark look, but still get good light too. I can't find their corner light that matches, but I'm sure they make it or there's other companies that carry these.
Mustangs Unlimited - The Premier Source for Mustang, Shelby and Cougar Parts and Accessories

I have the ultra clear version of those and they work great. And they're HID compatable (at least that's what the box said).

I love the sound of my SLP! I thought it sounded like a truck lower down but I had never heard it from the outside before. Yesterday I had my brother driving my 94 with me following behind in the SVO and I definately was wrong, it sounds amazing!

i have an o/r h-pipe and the full magnapack catback exhaust w/ 3 1/2" tips. can't say that i like it, i'm looking to go to a bassani system. i think the magnapacks sound like a 20 dollar glasspack from autozone, and most ppl i hang out with all agree with me that my exhaust note is the worst feature about my car.

these are my videos.

I have original 40s on both of my cars, but I don't mind the drone. If you want to avoid drone I would go with the magnapacks. The SLPs just sound like a car with no mufflers. They should have stuck with making parts for F-bodies in my opinion. Be that as it may, I've never heard them on a 5.0. I know for a fact that they don't really sound that good on a 4.6. Back in Feb when I dyno'd my '02, the only car that was louder than mine was an '04 with LM and an o/r pipe.
