supercharged cobra what gears?

What gears would you install on a 3200 lb vortech supercharged 96' cobra
equiped with a t-56 tranny using an aluminum flywheel?


How about that same car with a kennebell?

Both chargers at no more than 10 psi boost with 315 40 17 tires out back?

right now it has 3.08's. My bud can install 3.27 free but any gear ratio after for 100 bucks.

What gears would you do. He recomends I do the 3.27 because of the charger wanting to spin the motor quickly along with the lighter weight flywheel.

the prevailing sentiment is at least 3.55's for a supercharged car, and i think new cobras come with them. most guys i think go with 3.73's for their supercharged cars and even some go with 4.10's

I have a 98 cobra with 8 psi and have 3.73's which I thing work great!
When I go to the track I usually barely have to get in 4th at the very last
hundred feet. They just get you up to speed so much better than the stock gears. With the stock gears I was still in third at the 1/4 mile marker! It improved my times dramatically.

Did the 96 cobras come with 308's ...I thought it was 327's...

I would go with 355's...hmm...or maybe 373's....

96-98 Cobra did come with 3.27's. I had a 96 Non supercharged w/ 4.10s worked great now I have a 98 supercharged w/ 4.10's. Kind of wish I woulda got 4.30's but oh well close enough. you want to be 4th gear pinned at the end of the 1/4 for best Et's. I would atleast get 3.73s but if its a convertible you definetly want the 4.10s

Oh I forgot to mention that both cars 96 and 98 were the high revvin COBRA's They love the 4.10's man

What should be safe to rev it to?

Those 308's must not be stock...
