Supercharged Head Gasket Trouble

I'm curious. What are the physical characteristics evident on the head that allow the machinist to confirm the heads had lifted under boost?

I'm not disputing that it happened, just curious how they confirm by inspecting the heads.

High spots on the head surface when milled and pressure testing. In looking at the head itself, there were signs of pressure escaping between cylinders as well as burn spots on the firing ring of the head gasket. There was also coolant deposits on valves and the runners on the head

How much did they need to be milled? How many thousandths?

.006 on bank 1 and .004 on bank 2 not much
