Hey guys I have got a 98 GT with 92,000 miles on it. I have taken very good care of the car and I am not having any leaks or problems with it. I am considering putting a supercharger on the car. However I am concerned about the age and milage of the engine. I do not plan on racing the car or anything, but I will play a little bit. Do any of you think I would have any problems by adding a supercharger?

You need to do a compression test to see how healthy the engine is. If you pass that, your car would have no problem handling a blower as long as the tune is semi-conservative (11-11.8 AFR).

These mod motors can last a very long time (200-300,000 miles). Check the compression, as recommended above, and go from there. Don't get greedy with power, just aim for a reasonable improvement, get a good tune(!) and the bottom end should last a long while.

You might consider getting a PI intake manifold and PI cams also. This would get the car breathing a lot better and your numbers from the blower would be a lot more impressive.

Pi intake and pi cams on a blown NPI is a world of differance.

Thanks guys for the info. I would just like to get it where it runs good without sacraficing mpg's or the engine life. Any of you guys now where I can get a good price on a supercharger?
