I saw online somewhere about a Supercharger for the Mach that has it putting down 500HP & 500TQ @ the rear wheels w/ no other mods. Does anyone know what kit that is?

I believe that was a Vortech kit. There's a Mach 1 here in S.A. running around with a PTK turbo putting out some good numbers as well....

Those damn 32V's have so much damn potential....

The only thing that worries me about supercharging or tubo charging the mach is detonation with the high compression. Now with some forged internals and 9:1 compression then we are talking a nasty combination

I talked to some tech guys today @ Ford & they said even w/ the high compression you can still Supercharge & run 14psi tops. I'd say that's pretty good for such high compression. Wouldn't you say?

It seems to me that supercharging the Mach might not be a good idea. It sounds like if you need more power you should get a Cobra.

I don't need more power. But as most of us in here understand I just want to do some things to set my car apart from others. & a Supercharged Mach would be somewhat rarer than the already somewhat rare Mach1.

Yeah, I just read that article myself. Was it in 5.0 or MM&FF, I can't remember

It's in MM&FF. I got a buddy who's gonna give the mag to me today so I can read up on the article. 10:1 compression is kinda high IMO to be running a blower but according to Ford Techs it's OK even @ max 14 psi, though I only wanna do like 8-10.
