TGJ, yeah I still stay in touch with Johnny and Kris thanks for the kind words about the cars of my past.

royb, you are saying you have an S197 with a Saleen blower? Yes, I would like to check that out, and I might have to swing out to the DFWStangs get together. However I think if you would look at a cross section of the Saleen blower you'd be surprised at what you see. And I'll tell you what if you can put your cars on the roller and show me 500HP to the rear wheels I'll pay for the run. I just don't think it's there, and the information that I have comes from some pretty high up true life "know it alls" in the industry. Regardless, as I said I'm interested in the Saleen blower and would like to see your setup, did you install it yourself?

PolkThug I have seen people with the JDM pullies up around 12.5 pounds of boost I haven't seen anyone over that, and those with those pullies are having bad belt slipage problems. I think anyone over 8-10 pounds of boost on a stock bottom end is just asking for a paperweight for a stock block. But only time will tell what these bottom ends will do, nobody has pushed them long enough to show longevity yet IMHO.

Jason

PS: Here are a few cars of my past just to say hi. I've lurked on these boards for years but don't ever say much.

RoyB, this one might look familar to you, I bought it off of one of the local DFWStangs guys

Yep, I have the Saleen Blower, yep there is belt slippage, I'm positive if I used the 2.5 pulley kb used to get 500hp the saleen will go beyond that. JDM is getting close to 500 rwhp with a 3.4 pulley - I think they are at 486 now. Mine shoud dyno at 440rwhp with 93 octane. Some people are fudging the #'s and then there's the debate of mustang dyno & dyno jet numbers and sae and corrected.

I did all the work myself- if you need help let me know.

Yeah, thats the way I read it. I bet they just did the old fashen press down on a bench - pry up with a feeler guage to gap them. Do you think Bryan's prochared motor failed cause of the limit of the maf or just too much HP/boost for the piston/rings? Also, do you have any belt slippage with your set up?

& I think the KB is 2400cc so it would produce more HP than the 2300 cc from saleen.

I dont know.. I was one of the people that got the early kits (no bap).. I'm doing 396 and 363tq on a mustang dyno.. I have been running great with it.. but there is more there if I can take care of the maf and fuel issues.. I got the maf extender (chip) which I heard works (I hope) and as for fuel I'm still trying to get the best solution for the fuel.. so far it looks like the KB BAP is the cheapest fix for it now..
