Just an idea i have. Could you take a vortech and pully it for say 15psi, and then run a bypass setup so that it will dump at around 10 psi? If im thinking correct, wont you hit more boost sooner? just an idea, will this work?
as far as i know that would work, but most blow-off valves only go as low as 12#s i think. the idea is sound but that would be the max you could possibly hit then. you would be wasting the potential of the centrifugal supercharger in making power.
Yeah it would probably work but you would loose way too much efficiency in the top end. But for driving around town maybe it would be cool to have some more boost down low.
lol you guys are funny! i guess 12 psi would work as a limit, And i could pully it much higher. See, isnt say a vortech rated up to like 20 psi of somethin? i dont know...i guess the only downside of the idea would be possibly excess heat created by the blower pumping so much air
