...if she blows, she blows.Keep it under 400rwhp (which is a little more than the 9psi intercooled version of the kit puts out) and you'll run fine. Don't run it hard with less than 1/4 tank of gas in the tank and always make sure you're running a minimum of 91-Octane at all times. Also, be conservative with the throttle on hot sweltering days, or super cold mornings and you'll keep her together.![]()
What kind of fuel pump are you running (SVT-F)? I don't get into boost when I get to the quarter tank mark, I pretty much treat it as Empty with my Focus Pump.well damn i'm screwed...lol i run my car hard when it has less than 1/4 tank
Come to think of it, you'd probably still be alright at about 1/4, but anything less than 1/8th is pushing it (especially with the so-so accuracy of the stock fuel gauge). The chances of the fuel sloshing to one side of the tank and the pickup sucking in a big gulp of air are high when there’s so little fuel in there and that momentary lean spike could be a recipe for a burnt piston and a broken engine. Not such a big deal with a N/A engine, but once a power adder is concerned and you're cramming all that additional volume of air in the cylinder, making sure you've got enough fuel added to the mix at all times is crucial!well damn i'm screwed...lol i run my car hard when it has less than 1/4 tank
