So after spending some time looking at the boards Im thinking about getting a blower. But my questions is apart from the blower what else does your stang need with a blower. My friend has 95 with Blower and it seems to always be needing little things here and there.
Cheers

what do you mean by need little things? part replacement or wanting more power.

basically you need to just be smart about you choice. there are only two kits I would consider if you are new to boost. they are both pretty complete and take the guess work out if it.

the kenne bell 1.7L or the mongoose kits from Modular powerhouse.

as far as needing little things they dont' need anything other than guages but if you go to high with the boost you can make more power than the car may like.

I do a fuel filter, belt and plugs every 10k. Beyond that, I've had 0 issues w/ the blower after 12k miles. It was daily driven for a year w/ the blower and now comes out every other week.

Besides the stock brakes sucking, it's a good idea to upgrade the braking components to make sure you can reign in the boosted pony. Plus, if you decide to make more power after that, you'll already have good stopping power in place.

Agreed ... the added power will require additional upgrades but, dependent on how you drive or how often. Like mac1009 said. Routine maintenace on a boosted 2V or NA is mostly the same.

The brakes aren't that bad. I've use them a few times and they performed just fine. The rotors are a bit weak though. I will upgrade my brakes soon cause if you accellerate faster you must also be able to de-accellerate faster... know what I mean Vern...?
