I'm looking to buy a supercharger. Any recommendations? Paxton? I see that Paxton claims 35%-55% increase properly tuned. Anyone here have this and get this kind of HP? How much $$$ do these go for? Would this work well with my setup? I only have 100 miles on the rebuild now, but I think I'm around 400 HP now. Would it be worth it? I have no idea how she runs since I'm breaking her in and still fixing problems here and there, but can't wait to stomp the gas down for the first time

This is my first rebuild, learning as I go. Should I leave a supercharger install to the professionalss?? Would this be expensive to have done?

Thanks for any help!

9.5 to 1

I don't know if this means anything to you, but i checked the compression in all my cylinders and they were all around 170 psi.

9.5 is fine. It's not just a claim on the percentage. You might consider a BG Demon carb to finish the install...

PS You better hurry. Their prices are going up after the first of the year...

Really? How much do they cost?

Would I need to get a better intake as well?

i would be careful with that compression ratio, most guys that set up heads specifically for blowers aim more for the 8-9:1 range. Might want to find some guys with experience, and be careful with timing and such.

I have 9.2 to 1 on mine and it's just fine. Paxton says you can go to 10 to 1 on their kit 'cause it's only 7.5 lbs of boost.

Touchy on the timing though...

The intake will make a difference as well, but more in terms of your range. That intake is only good to 5000k rpms. Considering you start making power at 2700+ with the supercharger, it just doesn't give you much range. Your cam matters here as well.
