superchargers and gas mileage??

i was thinking about getting a procharger s/c with a 2 core intercooler for my 2002 mustang gt. does anyone know what type of gas mileage i would be getting?? also if i was to get the sct livewire would i be able to quick detune it for better mileage?? thanks for the help.

i just got 14mpg! but that was with 6 or so 1/4mi passes. i average around 17mpg in mostly city driving.

what type of tuner do you have?? do you ever detune it for mileage? or did a shop tune for you???

i can get over 20 MPG with my 3.90's and the s/c

oh and get the 3 core - one less thing to replace if you ever decide to upgrade...

I usually get 14-ish, but decided to try and get decent mileage last tank and made 17.x.

hahahaha i dont have an sc but yea i try that at times to get better gas mileage and im saying that as im fillin the tank up. start the engine turn outta the gas station and nail it to the floor lol. way way way too hard to resist the torque and power now i cant imagine what it would be like blown.

i have the SCT Pro Racer Package and tune my own car. i've never detuned it for gas mileage purposes. i don't drive the car enough to worry about it.

i dailly drive my car with a vortech and i get about 17 mph average. I just took a trip to nevada and got 28 mpg on the highway cruising at 65.

My gas mileage really hasn't suffered much since the addition of the Vortech.

Any centri supercharger shouldn't have a huge impact unless your constantly getting into boost. Bottom line is that you'll lose gas mileage everytime your into boost, but if that isn't too often, you should be ok.
