From what I have read there hasnt been much said about superchargers. Im looking to buy one but I wanted to see what everyone thought first. Either Vortech or ATI.

Thanks

I really like the look of the polished Vortec and I'm told the customer service is excellent, hp is good and it's upgradable, but I really like the Kenny Bell and Allen Superchargers, having the torque kick in at 2000 rpm's is awesome ! I believe you will also have to purchase additional items to make te Vortec work on your motor, injectors, etc...

Both are a good choice. I went with the ATI P1SC,intercooled.ATI's can be reversed(removed)People that have Vortec's swear by them(not at them). Move this thread to power adders, you'll get real good feedback. Good Luck

You definately need to read more... much has been said and its been repeated many times.

People love the kenne belle kits for our cars...

ATI also makes some good kits especially with their intercoolers, however I must say the more you read you will hear that the P1SC kits tend to have oil seal problems. Not saying all do, but the more you read the more you'll hear about it.

The only mechanical problems that usually occur with the other superchargers are blown motors because the owner either got greedy for power or didnt tune.

Another vote for the positive displacement style (Kenne Bell - tons of power all the way through, or the Allen – Doesn't have the overall power potential as the Kenne Bell, but the best all around engineered kit I’ve ever seen with stump pulling torque!)

The centrifugal blowers are nice, but I like my power down low, where it gets used the most.

BTW....you want more info on blowers, go to the "Power Adder" section of the forum.

If you go ATI (procharger) step up to the D1SC. I would personally either get the KB kit or a mongoose kit from www.modularpowerhouse.com that comes with a vortech but has a Novi2000 option.

KB is more expenisve when its all said and done but will give you a better power curve and more peak power too. 400+ on the 9psi intercooled kit. Whereas the mongoose is in the 360-380 range but comes complete with everything for 4 grand including a custom tune and great support.

I love the whistle of centrifugal blowers....

I wouldn't mind having a Kenne Bell under my hood though...
