I think the vortec for $2500 is the best deal for our cars. You can get powerdyne cheaper but really, Who wants a powerdyne? LOL

(no offense to powerdyne owners intended)

Kenne Bell was 2845, shipped, and I love it! If my KB was a woman, I'd marry her!! I was pretty much set on a KB when my s/c shopping began, but I did check out others, and as stated before, Vortech has some really good prices going on now. Most of these kits are bolt-ons, everything included, so that's one price for everything. I picked up a fuel press, and boost gauge w/a pillar mount, that added on ~250, not neccessry, but most do it anyway. Supercharger price is hard to swallow, but well worth it. Good Luck...ever consider a nitrous kit? 1/5 the initial price, and you can turn it off/save some gas.

Unless you want to go cheap your looking at 2500 and above easy. It is hard to justify at first but once you fire it up you suddenly forget how much it cost.

I would have put my old gear driven Powerdyne XB-1 against the S-trim any day. Not saying I would go with another Powerdyne again but the XB-1 is a solid blower. By the way, the Powerdyne XB-1 is not the most affordable supercharger for the 94-95's. I originally went with the Powerdyne BD-11A for $1800 brand new. That's pretty inexpensive but it is an entry level 850cfm blower with the limited potential.

You cant, thats the prob w/ buying used blowers, could be 100% fine or could be buying someone else's problem.

My Paxton was $3,242 Polished & shipped.

If you're looking for cheap, look for used powerdynes that are belt driven. I almost picked up a kit for $950 shipped to my door for my 95 Vert, LUCKILY the guy destroyed the head unit as he raced it at the track one last time before he removed it to ship.

In retrospect, I really lucked out there and will never consider a powerdyne again.

BUT, $950 shipped was pretty damn cheap for everything I needed to get the car boosted, even the FMU.

most affordable supercharger would be the exhaust driven kind, more along the lines of DIY though, which would require the tools and a welder, not nessesarly someone with experience either.
