Friend of mine gave me a blue superchips for my 01 GT auto.. Hes almost certain the chip came out of another 01GT auto ( friend gave the chip to him) that had minor bolt ons.

The problem is, with the chip installed, the car does not start, only to turn over and over. The highspeed fan does come on in the KOEO posistion, and thats about it. Ive throughly cleaned the J3 port as superchips instructions,

Another thing i noticed is.. on my processor, one of the tiny 50 pins( or however many are there, one is bent downwards, touching the other next to it. This really doesnt look to be the factorys doings, so it has me thinking if this isnt the problem..

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter where the chip came from. It HAS TO BE PROGRAMMED FOR YOUR COMPUTER. You have to take the computer out of the other car for this to work.

no but it has to match everything else. Most chips out there are not custom. I would get the serial number off the chip and email superchips to make sure you have the correct chip if it is generic.
