What is the quality of the Superior axles? How do they compare to Strange and Moser? I also have a question about screw-in vs press-in studs. What is recommended? Thanks for your input.

Truth is, I don't know about Superior axles, but I'll tell you what I do know.

Genuine Gear has a bad rep. A lot of shops refuse to install them, due to poor quality. Moser has an impecable reputation, so does Yukon. Strange makes good stuff too. About the studs, you'll have to ask someone else, mine are pressed though (it's a Bronc, not a 'Stang) I'll be going to the 35 spline Mosers pretty soon, w/ Detroit and 4.56 ring and pinion, and likely a Strange nodular case.

Good Luck!

Are Superior axles associated with Genuine Gear? I have noticed from quotes that I got that Superior is about $40 cheaper than Moser per pair.

I have a set of superior axles in my 99. quality seems to be close to factory. strange and curries axles are worth the extra money though. screw in studs are normal in race axle applications.

What about Moser? How do they compare to Strange and Currie? The car is a 70 Mach that will be driven on the street with about 350-380 RWH.

Maybe I should have just said forged axles are worth the money. But seeing your power level you should be just fine with stock 31 spline axles or any of the aftermarket steel axles. steel axles handle the flex much better than forged axles over a longer period of time.
