Well I used to think I had a 289 windsor engine...It has a 289 intake and the flowtech headers for a windsor fit nicely (if a bit low). I never really knew about the internals of the engine and tonight I pulled one of the valve covers and got quite a surprise. Upon opening them I see not only a set of roller rockers (perhaps this explains slight ticking I can hear at highway speeds in the engine bay), but also a stamping saying "4V" between the rear two valve sets on the passenger side head.
I thought only clevelands had the 2v/4v distinctions, not 289s/302s thats why this was surprising (on top of discovering roller rockers).
Does anyone have any idea what sort of head these are?
