so i finally got my car running somewhat reliably after the rebuild the other day, and am having a few problems. actually, its only really one. it keeps wanting to idle surge and then die everytime i slow down/stop. i was having this problem every so often before the rebuild, too, along with a code 34. i put a new egr valve on while i had the motor out, hoping that would fix it, but no. what besides a stuck valve would trigger the code 34?
also, there a decently high pitched whistle coming from somewhere in the bay, im thinking vac leak, but it doesnt become apparent until its been idling a minute or two, so not sure if its really a vac leak, or the iac leaking, or what exactly is going on?
and to confound more, im also getting a code 87 today, never had that before, my book says something about the fuel circuit, but my new pump is working fine apparently, plenty of pressure/flow.
btw, i did try to search, but the stupid search engine on here wont search for terms under 4 characters. seems really stupid for whats supposed to be a tech site, considering all these codes are 2 or 3 digits.
