alright, my shocks, struts, steering rack and inner/outer tie rods are in dire need of replacement. what kind of shocks and struts will work with the specific rate springs? ( im kinda new to the whole suspension thing) and can i use just a normal replacement steering rack? thanks in advance for the help

Ya,

You can use a direct replacement rack. Are you sure your car has specific rate springs? Halfway through 89 they went progressive. They ride so much nicer.

Call Mark at www.performanceautosport.com

I don't know his prices on those shocks/struts right now but I know he still has a pile of NOS stuff. He will be able to tell you the different numbers on the springs also to tell if they are specific or progressive. I don't remember because I'm going senile.

There is a part number on the spring. Eibach made them. I can almost guarantee you that if the springs have never been replaced, you have the specific rate which ride like rocks. They are in my 89. I'll take a peek at the numbers tomorrow if I can get to them.

I just hope it's not early Alzheimer's.
