I am wanting to upgrade the suspension on my 2011 GT when I get back to the U.S. for the occasional track day and daily driving. I love carving corners and the stock suspension leaves much to be desired. I was looking at either the FR3 handling pack from Ford Racing or a collaboration of Steeda parts. Was wondering how comparable the shock strut combos, control arms, and sway bars are to each other and also if the Steeda coilover system is worth the money?

I have the FR3 on my personal car and I love it. I set up the front bar to handle neutral and the ride is only a bit harsher then stock. The Steeda parts are very good quality as well, great handling. The only different parts I would recommend would be the rear control arms. I'm very partial to CHE due to the bushing set up they have.

Both systems are a huge improvement over stock.

My dad has Steeda coilovers on his '09 GT500 and I have Koni Yellows with Eibach Pros on my '06 GT. They both work well. Interestingly enough, he and I both agree that my car handles better, but this could be due to a variety of reasons. I do love my Konis though.

One thing is for sure- I've upgraded the entire suspension system on my car, some of it one part at a time, and every part made some sort of improvement. So whichever brand you choose, my recommendation is to upgrade everything, even one part at a time, if your finances allow it.

Thanks for the video TJ, it helped alot. I have a question though do you have any of testing with the coilovers. I want to know the performance difference between the two. Also what would you recommend because I do mostly street driving but want to start tracking the car. Any help or opinion you can give would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of the decisions can be made based on what kind of track you are talking about.
