I'm in the process of getting my engine together and put in my car. Its going to be a 306 with Trick Flow heads, intake, cam, ect.... Now I want to start focusing on the suspension. Only problem is I don't really know where to start.

The car is daily driver, so I can't go with like a full drag set-up or anything like that. So far I have sub-frames and a strut tower brace. I'm thinking about getting springs. Should I do control arms? I basically have no idea about suspension and what are good mods to make in order to help track times but to keep good driveability. Thanks.

I'd pick up some battle boxes and lower control arms.

A Torque Arm and panhard bar would be pretty awesome on the street. Check out Maximum Motorsports for info.

A K-member would be better.

You could get silly with this. I say suspension mods are worth it. All though I really have none. Beating a Vette around a turn would be pretty friggen awesome.

What are battle boxes and what is a torque arm?

I won't be able to do everything at once, what would be a good order to go in?

first thing you should do would be sub frame connectors. and after that control arms, and springs. no need for a torque arm and panhard bar unless you really plan on beating on the car very hard. a panhard bar would be good but it isnt necessary and a torque arm is just over kill for a street car because it will hit every little thing that you drive over. stiffen up the chassis with subframes, strut tower brace and control arms and than get springs/shocks

battle boxes are torque box reinforcements, not a bad idea if you choose to run a lower control arm with a 1 piece urethane bushing or you plan on some crazy asphalt thrashing launches at 5k rpms
