suspension opinions needed.

Im going to be doing some work this winter and im swappen rear ends so i figure now is a good time to do suspension since its all stock and has over 100,000 miles on it, the wheel hop was violent this summer so i need to cure that. I am on a budget but so far what i am thinking is :

-granetalli motorsports upper and lower control arms.
-KYB gas shocks and struts
-Eibach springs
-and some type of qud shocks since my car has none.

Thats all i can think of right now, what you guys think?

Do NOT buy granatelli junk.

-Buy Maximum Motorsport lower control arms, with them you don't need to run quad shocks, you can keep the stock uppers.
-KYB's are a good cheaper shock/strut
- Get the Eibach Pro Kit (sportlines are having sagging issues)
-see above about quads


If you can squeese out and extra $100-150 go for a set of Full Length Subs Frame Connectors

^^ Those full lengths sure make a difference.

And yeah you won't need quads with those LCA's, and you can't go wrong with MM.

about how much am i looking for MM lowers? and how much would upper cost if wanted them? also how much would the pro kit run me? and what all do the quad shocks really do for me? Also, my car has a much bigger wheel gap in the front than the rear, i would need to drop it about 2.5 in the front and 1' in the back, anyway i can achieve this?

how are H&R springs?

I have had better luck with H&R springs than the Eibachs. I have installed 2 sets of H&Rs (Sports and Super Sports) and the drop has always been very even. The Eibachs on the other hand seem to be a little hit and miss. Sometimes they seem to drop one side further than the other. This seems to even out out after a couple weeks but it is annoying.

I will agree with the comment in regards to Maximum motorsport lowers, but if he's going to bother swapping out control arms at all, it would be best to replace the uppers while he's in there. I'm running UPR double adjustable race uppers and Maximum Motorsport solid drag lowers, and it seems to keep the rear end planted. If he doesn't want to bother with adjustability, he can always buy a set of FRPP solid uppers, as this is what MM recommends with their lower control arms.

I also agree with the comment on sub-frame connectors. Basic sub-frame connectors will do, but if you want, dig deep and get the full lengths with the torque box weld in kits.

I have no personal experience with Granatelli. I've only heard people's reviews. Many people complain about Granatelli, so I don't know. Do a search, and see what you come up with.

well GMS UCA's were a knocked off design of UPR's double adj UCA, but with crappier welds.

Im very happy with my current set up. No wheel hop issues and even though the tires still break loose, it does so in a staight line instead of that side to side crap. DO NOT buy cheap suspension parts, do it right the first time and save money on wasted parts in the future. MM/steeda, wolfe racing to name a few other quality companies.

I thought they(x2c) were out of business. I heard that the bushings/poly go bad fairly soon. Id stick with the norm...MM, steeda etc...I dont know anyone with d&d so cant comment.
