I think you are right on both counts. My dad made my sister and I learn to work on our own vehicles when we got our first cars. I still change my own oil in all of my own vehicles. The boyfriend can find cheaper ways to fix things a lot of the time and he is a perfectionist when it comes to repairs. We appreciate your help with this and I will probably reach out to you again the next time an issue comes up.

It's honestly faster to change your own oil than to take it to Jiffy Lube and wait. Every dollar saved counts.

Yes, you are unlikely to put your oil drain plug back in with an impact gun.
