The stock fan is reliable and effective.
If you really want electric fans or fan, use a better controller and a real ford fan.

A PWM controller (Pulse Width Modulation) is a soft start controller. It limits the electric fan starting current (in-rush).

If I keep having trouble I’ll do that.When I got my car, the dumbass previous owner had it controlled by a manual switch. I got a simple controller and installed it. A few weeks later the AC blew out. Doh. If you have AC, make sure to hook that up and ignore the advice of those that don't.
I solved the problem by going with the stock fan setup. The only thing I didn't like about that was the sound. Overall, it's a lot more reliable and easier to deal with and what I'd do again. Fairly inexpensive to get an all new fan/clutch from LMR and be done with it forever.
Well they are what I have and if they keep the car running cool that’s what it is.
Yes—the 130 amp Alternator was installed as soon as the engine was bolted in—plus the heavy duty wiringI didn't see if you said you have an upgraded alternator and wiring.
If you don't, the fans are probably never going to work right.
The stock one can barely handle a foxbody without electric fans.
