SVO side flare

Anybody know where I can get the 'swoop' before the rear wheels like the SVO has? I want to get the Cobra rear bumper and want something to match it without getting an entire side skirt so it will still match the stock LX bumper. Thanks.

some pics in case you don't know what I'm getting at.

To my knowledge nobody makes these aftermarket, so you have to find originals, which means finding an SVO in a junkyard or somewhere that hasn't already been stripped. I also wanted to get some until that red capri-coupe car hit all the magazines with them, now i'm not so sure because i don't wanna look like a copy cat (even though i still say that guy stole my nose idea).

go with the wings west LX cobra rear. it's designed specifically for the LX and attaches like a saleen rear would

You might have fitment issues with your rear tires? Aren't they extremely large now?

Not too large. 27" overall. That shouldn't be a problem should it?

Not sure, my dad had to trim his LX to run some 27 or 28s at the track. The tires did however grow at the top end.

I've tried to snag some on ebay but they go for big money.

Chances of me finding an SVO in the boneyard are slim...i barely find 5.0's there as it is

Wow $200 for little fiberglass pieces is too steep for me. They'll just hold water and cause rust anyways.

Plus it doesn't come with the rocker trim and clips. You could match some up from a trim supplier, but add that to the cost. I saw an SVO in the JY not long ago, but the spats were so rotten, they weren't worth saving.

I like your car a lot but as far as your tires go I think you should get them a little closer in height, those rears make it look like a 4X4 in the back with a low rider front I'd get a 26 inch tire in the rear at least.

I wish I would've gotten them slightly smaller in back and slightly taller in front. I guess Its all just part of the learning process. By the next time I get tires I should have exactly what I want.

Yeah, $200 is a bit pricey, especially since I'll have to cut them to fit under the LX molding. maybe I'll try to make some of my own.

I agree, those rears do look way too big compared to the fronts.What size tires are your running front and back? Nice vert though otherwise.

unless you have staggered wheels there isnt much reason to stagger tires...at least not that much...

its all in the aspect ratio...if you go bigger in width, go smaller in aspect ratio to keep your proportions

I agree, if you have the means try and make your own, it doesn't really seem like that hard of a part to fabricate, it probably is but trial and error will come out good end the end.

Looking at your picture, you shouldn't have rubbing issues. My fathers tires were larger, and being a track tire grew on the top end of the track. Yours are radials and appear to have room.

I also agree with others, step the back down a size or so and the fronts up. Mine are staggered sized tires, but not that staggered.
