Swamp Head Unit on Mach 1000

Second question with the Mach 100 system here, this one concerns the head unit. Forgive me now for not knowing jack about car audio..thats why I bought my system straight from the factory. But my question is...I want to swap out my 6cd indash Mach 1000 deck for a differant unit. Falling into a new job, I can get a pretty good deal on just about anything I want for car audio/video and I am looking into a 7" flip up touchscreen with dvd and all the goodies or a monitor that does all the same but just stays flush to fill the double din slot all the time. Can i hook this up in my car? I was just wondering if it would cause problems with a wiring harness do to the factory subs..any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if this works, will I be able to tamper with my systems settings more so then a simple Bass and Treble...since the new headunit will likely have a dozen differant dials i can crank up and down..will those settings effect my subs or other speakers?..thanks

I did the swap of headunit with my Mach 1000 but the sound quality was not as good with the aftermarket compared to the factory HU. I just yanked out the whole Mach 1000 eventually and went custom.
