swapped cable, now another problemNOW BIGGER PROBLEM

ok, so i finally got a chance to swap my adj. steeda cable back to my stock cable.. now, the stock cable wont reach the quadrant with the firewall adjuster in. if i take the adjuster off it reaches it just fine... I put the adj. in, adjusted it all the way out, ran the cable through and the cable wont reach the fork on the quadrant by about a friggin milimeter. How do i get the cable to stretch far enough so i can put it on the quadrant?

Did you attach it to the clutch fork first? If so try attaching it to the quadrant then to the clutch fork. You may have to push the fork out a bit. I used a BF screwdriver to move it enough to attach.

i had the same problem, i accually had to cut the outer casing of the cable, i pulled the black plastic thing, that goes in to the fire wall adjuster off, and cut about 1/2in out of it

Why cut due to a lack of a jack? Jack stands are cheap and you can use the jack in the trunk.

the first time i tried swapping cables, i used the jack in the trunk and some jack stands.. but i live on a hill and my driveway is a gravel hill and my yard is a grass hill and the jack wants to tilt and i just don't trust bein under my car on a hill using that jack even with jackstands.. seems sketchy to me... but, if it comes down to it, i'll use it since the stands held up with the floor jack

On the instuctions for the steeda kit,cable/quadrant/adj it says to do just that too the original cable,so I assume if you use the stock cable that you suppose to do just that...If I sound like a smart a$$ sorry,Im just saying what it says to do.

well i got the cable on the quadrant with the adjuster in.. Now the adjuster doesn't work...WTF???????? if i put the adjuster in and run the cable through the firewall, the clutch won't release until the pedal is ALL te way out..and i mean ALL the way out. No matter how far in or out i adjust the adjuster the release point is the same.. if i take the adjuster out and just run the cable through the firewall, it's back to being at a normal position, but then i can't adjust anything and since the poeple that did my clutch last threw away that plastic peice that attaches to the firewall with the stock cable, all i have it a cable running through a big hole...
How can i get my adjuster to work?????? i'm about to drive this car off a friggin cliff

Isnt a healthy clutch suppose to come out on top.Correct me if Im wrong but I thought that the adj just took out slack and freeplay from the pedal, not adjust where the clutch comes out at.My gt after clutch replacement did just that.Steeda tech said that releasing on top was correct.

Did you cut off the piece on the stock cable and also remove the rubber portion?
