I'm not saying that one is better than the other one cause the dyno result I got from the DenseCharger was more then dissapointing ( lost 1 RWHP and 2 Ft-Lbs Torque ) so I had to modified it to get my numbers back and since then it was ( once in a while ) popping out of my throttle body because it had no more support ( front part of the car) .
So here the before ( when I got the DenseCharger before the dyno run ) .
Here after the modification :
now here's my new set up :
The Steeda kit makes us relocate the temp sensor ( for people who has one ) before the MAF sensor compare ( see previous picture ) after , I don't know if it does something on not !
I have to say that the quality and the fit of the Steeda kit was more then I was expecting , very high quality , fits there perfectly and was color match with my silver GT
I still beleive tha CAI are only "blink blink " stuff but I needed a new one and I did not want to go back to the stock not so nice looking set up .
I'm going to SHM tomorrow for a few dyno runs .
Last time I dynoed my car ( Feb 2003 ) I was at 245 RWHP and 278 Ft-Lbs torque SAE N/A on a Dynojet so after tons of NOS sprayed through my stock long block I'm not expecting to get the same numbers , I'll guess lower cause of the wear of the motor and I'm at over 62K.
I'll post the result tomorrow.
I wish I had it dynoed right before and after the swap of the CAI just to compare but it was kind of impossible for me to do it.
